The Light...
She suffers from Obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety attacks, never ending thoughts of suicide and finally, a diagnosis of Type 2 Bipolar disorder. She was hospitalized due to a severe state of depression, which in turn was the start of her cutting.
She made many trips to the emergency room, the psychiatric unit, and was administered may different types of medications and ongoing therapy visits. All of which helped guide her slowly back to the land of the living. While she was living in her darkness, she saw light, it was just a crack, but it was still light and that meant HOPE. The light encouraged her to pull herself out of the dark and bring herself to a place of healing.
It took many different types of medications which left her feeling foggy but she worked at it and she knew, somehow that she was worth it. She visits her Psychiatrist on a regular basis and hasn’t harmed herself in a year. She doesn’t want to go back there, to the darkness, even thought it was her home for so long, but sometimes, just sometimes, she would still like to visit…
